The Forty Mile Regional FCSS promotes, encourage and supports volunteer work in the community. This includes recruitment, training and placement services, resources to support volunteers and the coordination of volunteer services. 

Annual volunteer events are held in Formost every second Friday of Febuary. 

The volunteer appreciation evening (BBQ) in Bow Island held every second Friday in August.
